Food served in a bowl, or what Instagram taught us to call Buddha bowls are not so new. As the name implies it is a reference to the single (or one of the few) possessions a buddhist monk has, which is a bowl that allows him (or her) to receive food in return of their prayers and blessings. Nothing farthest from the overly abundant bowls full with all sorts of food that we’ve seen in Pinterest or IG, maybe because people tend to correlate this to Buddha’s big belly instead to a daily affirmation of less is more.

Chicken and avocado are a great match. Just like limes and tequila, they get alone muy bien.

Although this is a super duper easy recipe, I´m sharing with you the directions but by all means use this just as an starting point. And speaking of limes since I had a couple of those in my fridge at that time, I choose to use them to enhance and add a bit of tartiness to my creamy dressing.

Here is my Dad’s first contribution to aromasysabores. And frankly, I don’t know how and why it took me so long to do this, since mi Papa is an excellent amateur Chef.

His paella is legendary.

His costillitas de cerdo a la naranja (orange pork ribs) are para chuparse los dedos (to lick your fingers).

And his Bacalao a la Vizcaina is la piece de resistance at every Christmas dinner.
