Le Flouka, a charming auberge in Morocco

We visited Le Flouka on our first (and only) escapade from the city. Some friends  hinted us about lalla takerkoust and were kind enough to invite us for lunch. Lake wasn’t as impressive as it used to be since the water levels are tremendously low, but we still enjoyed of a sunny but breezy day before Summer high temperatures were here.

We appreciated the franco-marocaine decor in such rustic architecture and paysage. Everywhere our eyes where set, we admired the perfect marriage of french sophistication imbeded in modern beldi style.

On the food side, the menu was (as far as I can remember) mostly french but with moroccan must-have dishes that any resto in Morocco should offer. You will find from salades composées (salads) to côte de boeuf (I´m not fan of meat but my friends are, and they were overjoyed by the quality of the meat), all portions generously served and accompanied with fresh from the oven moroccan bread. And of course, tagines & couscous.

But mostly, I want to go back and work on my tan by la piscine. :)
